Hand rejuvenation

Two factors influence skin appearance of aging hands:

1. brown-grey discolouration of the skin, so-called age-spots
2. loss of under skin tissue

Dark spots on the skin can be disturbing, though they are biologically benign.

This includes so-called age spots, age warts, discolourations after inflammations or burns, as well as light, so-called Café-au-lait spots, which are congenital. These spots can be removed without scars with the help of an Nd-Yag Laser. They often develop with progressing age because of UV-radiation dosis accumulated by the skin, or if there is a family disposition.

Malignant, brown skin spots and birthmarks can by no means be treated this way.

Health risks would be unclear in this case. Diagnostics must be done before each laser treatment of a pigmented change. Reflected light microscopy (digital dermoscopy) with 40-200x magnification is normally carried out with digital videgraphic documentation. In well-grounded exceptional cases, so-called shave histology is carried out. If there are no doubts that the pigmented change is benign, laser treatment can be carried out. During this treatment, pigmented bodies (Melanosomen) are permanently destroyed, but the cells remain alive. This procedure does not cause any noteworthy pain.

The loss of fatty tissue is mainly compensated by means of fat transplantation, after fat tissue was obtained during vibration modelling. During vibration modelling, the regions that will undergo suction (for example internal side of upper knee) are numbed by a dilated anesthetic solution and at the same time, the interconnection of cells and their connection to connective tissue is disengaged. Due to an easy solubility, the fat tissue can be extracted by suction and the inclination of the skin to shrink is intensified after the intervention.

After the solution takes effect, a thin blunt rounded down hollow needle is inserted into the under skin fatty tissue, and the tissue is extracted by suction, being modelled at the same time. The corresponding skin incisions are 2 mm in size and are almost not visible after a few weeks. Despite of low stress, a lot of fat tissue can be permanently removed.

This new method, that brings desired results even in the case of earlier irresolvable body shape problems, is a significantly more gentle and causing fewer complications treatment then the one under general anesthesia. All possible accompanying effects and complications are significantly alleviated due to tumescent local anesthesia. Therefore, the patients can as a rule leave the hospital right after the treatment and after one or two days go to work again.

The own fat obtained during suction can be prepared and filled into syringes, that can be further used for face and hand rejevenation. A small portion of fat (size of a nut) can be injected into the tissue under the skin and spread out by means of a gentle massage. A part of tissue grows and permanently rejuvenates the hand silhouette.
