With the help of Tubingen cake and flunder –technique 98 per cent of healing rate in the case of skin cancer are guaranteed only when the tumour is completely removed. With the tubinger cake- method and flunder technique, the smallest branches of tumour are detected.

In the last 20 years, recurrence rates (returning cancer) in the case of primary basal cells carcinomas have decreased in the course of years to 0,5% due to this method. The tumour is cut out with a smal security margin. Due to thread marking, the cut edges of a removed tissue can be identified each time. Basis and sides of the removed tissue are examined for the absence of tumour. Microscopically proved remains of tumour can be re-operated any time. This operation can be very gentle on tissue, on the other hand due to a three-dimentional, tissue examination there is a > 99% chance to detect all remaining tumor cells.
