Yes, an eyelid lifting is normally performed under local anesthesia and on an outpatient basis, by request and in the case of intervention on lower eyelids general anesthesia is possible. It helps to achieve an optimised, soft and smoother scar formation. As long as the scar can no longer be felt during palpation and it is no longer reddish, the treatment is no longer needed.
